Currently Reading – Consequences – Aleatha Romig

After my intense read (The Siren – Tiffany Reisz) I was very tempted to move on to the next book in that series. However I knew I needed a break from all the intensity and usually I would then go for a light romantic read, but I ended up picking Consequences by Aleatha Romig instead. I still do not know why. I guess i’m a stickler for punishment 🙂

Consequences is not classified as Romance in any way. It’s not even classified as erotica. The author calls it a Psychological Thriller. The synopsis was very close to my favorite books of 2012 (The Dark Duet: Captive in the Dark and Seduced in the Dark by C.J Roberts) and that’s why I decided to buy it. Think abduction and Stockholm Syndrome; two themes when put together I tend to love.

I’m currently at 42% and i’m one confused mess! Seriously, why do I do this to myself! This is one DARK read! The guy, Anthony Rawlings, is downright brutal and most of the time there is no consent whatsoever in what he does to her. But I can’t seem to stop reading it, nor do I want to. Because as much as he’s brutal, we get glimpses of his good side and I find myself waiting for the next glimpse 🙂 So i’ll finish the book and see where my mind is at then. Wouldn’t mind a reading buddy so if you’re looking for a dark intense read, this is it. Plus its currently only .99 cents on Amazon!
